Neat Little Boxes...
We tend to use the intellect as a tool of protection and safety, of boxing off neatly, dividing away from aspects of reality, we imagine this is protection and yet when we venture into it we see it causes nothing but hurt and pain…
We are not protected by this we are diminished and made ignorant, we THINK we are protected when in reality this is not true, we are actually in more danger as we are not looking, we are not seeing, we are blinkered, narrowed, entrenched…
The protection we imagine the intellect offers is always short lived, sure, this may be an entire lifetime for some, but that is very short in the grand scheme of things, miniscule, and easily cast off at the end when we get what the intellect is and its true position and purpose in the scheme of things…
It is more of a lens, and opening, a window of opportunity to observe, that is it, we then go further and make things OF that observation which can serve our greater freedom but in the most part because we build it upon many other ‘making of things’ in our past it becomes increasingly distorted and unstable…
The only purpose of the intellect is a passage of space, a point of observation through which can be gained insight into the nature of reality so that we can gain intelligence about it…
Not FOR the intellect but for life itself, if the intellect holds on, blocks that flow, then it begins to cloud up its lens, believes it is the one in control, it is not, it is a function of consciousness and not the other way around, the intellect creates nothing of its own making, it observes, that is all, and the more spacious and open it becomes to that observation the more it is able to observe…
It increases by relaxing, by agreeing to allow the flow to be, the clearer and more spacious it becomes the more flow it can contain, the better its capacity, and so long as it keeps free of holding, so long as it remembers its function to be a point of observing presence, then it is granted access to the profound, to the mysteries, to insight and knowing beyond rational thought and logic…
Anything other than this approach by intellect is interference, is a misunderstanding of function, it gains, it grows, it expands by letting go of constructs, of old ideas, of becoming the bed of the river over which pure information passes, it becomes the portal of insight, opened, expanded and present, one of many, which are the very same presence peaking in from another perspective…
