There is a mountain, it is rock solid…
There is a lion on that there mountain, it is generally pretty calm, but anything it is uncertain of, the lion, it gets flighty as heck, it can’t help it, that is its nature, it will pounce…
Be the mountain, rock steady, let the lion be your messenger, fearless and dexterous…
This can help us understand and better use our energy, if you become the lion only, identified exclusively with the motion, then you are identified with the message carrier, and so you are swept up like the wind in all that flightiness, not always, as sometimes the lion is resting, and so you do not realize you are identified, the entire mountain is calm, but when the moments come, the uncertainty, of as yet unknown visitors, the lion bursts into its way of relating to that…
However, become the mountain, and you are the place of refuge and certainty to the lion, its center of gravity so to speak, where it can orientate and make sense of its movements, and locate its way home, bringing you messages, you are its steadiness, the ultimate orientation to that energy of flow and movement, that you as the mountain, via the lion, have access to…
From that, you can reassure the lion, you can teach it to relate to new creatures, to evolve it, without it loosing any of its ferociousness when called for, because you are the mountain, you are aware of all footsteps by all creatures, and so you know who and what is right and what is not, and you can train the lion in this, expand its nature, make it a wise, loving, and kingly lion, you might say an enlightened lion!
But what about creatures from the sky, the ground does not know of them?
All the mountain and the ground need do is make peace with the sky, then both the ground and the lion know all things the sky knows, and the sky knows all the lion and the ground knows…
This is the way, how it all reconnects, how each benefits form the direct contact and openness of the other, where the ultimate totality is recognized…
It is a lot of information, a lot to take, so the lion, in this quest, must learn, let the ground be where it is and take only the vibes it requires of the moment, the ripples pertinent to it now, if it tries to be as the ground is, it looses its lion-ness…
Likewise, it must let the sky be where and what it is, containing what it does, and draw from that only what is required of the moment, otherwise it tries to fit the ocean in a thimble, the desert is a vase, and that has always been a thankless task…
The mountain who understands its task, and the lion who appreciates its place, are a pair destined for the stars…
